The Iceland Referendum
Its issues might have been oversimplified, but public reaction to it here has certainly been under-amplified, for which our Icelandic friends might one day have cause to grateful. One wonders what the shades of their fathers think of the seed of the Vikings welching on their debts.

MK: "the shades of their fathers think of the seed of the Vikings welching on their debts."
The right result from the referendum - for the Icelandic people.
Given the Vikings marauded anywhere it took their fancy, I suspect the shades of their fathers would approve.
What their ancestors would not approve of is bailing out a private company with public money. Nor placing their descendents into debt slavery to a foreign state.
Our Politicians could learn a thing or two from the Icelandic people.
